FAQ

Frequently asked questions

1. Please verify that the license plate number of the car you booked by phone, the driver's professional registration certificate displayed at the front passenger seat, and the driver's name all refer to the same person. If any one of these does not match, please do not board the vehicle.
2. Whenever possible, choose a pickup point equipped with surveillance cameras, such as a convenience store, bank, post office, or station, so that a record can be kept.
3. Please note down your ride details, such as the license plate number, professional registration certificate number, and driver's name, and inform your family or friends of them after boarding, along with your destination and estimated arrival time. Once you have arrived and gotten off, let your family or friends know you are safe.
(When contacting family or friends by mobile phone, you may intentionally let the driver overhear, indirectly making them aware that a third party is monitoring the entire trip. This can deter drivers with bad intentions.)
4. Do not ride if the driver shows anything unusual, such as signs of drinking, appearing dazed, or being untidily dressed.
5. Before boarding, check that no one else is hiding in the vehicle; if so, do not ride.
6. Do not board if the windows do not allow you to see inside from outside, or if the interior is too dark and unclear.
7. Do not ride if the window switches are broken, the handles are missing, or the windows cannot be rolled down.
8. When talking with the taxi driver, avoid discussing political topics.
9. It is best to sit directly behind the driver, so that you can react immediately if something goes wrong, such as making a phone call, breaking a window, or calling out for help.
10. Booking a car by phone leaves a call record that can be traced. Make good use of the taxi company's radio dispatch center, which keeps dispatch records and audio recordings.
11. Make good use of your mobile 3C devices, such as GPS tracking and mobile phone protection services (with Chunghwa Telecom, dial 850***** directly on your phone, where the *** is the license plate number of the vehicle you are riding, then send it; this allows the time, dialing, and sending location to be looked up later when needed). For services from other telecom providers, please consult your carrier. And of course, always remember the emergency police number, 110.
