In 2007, UTAXI entered the independent-travel business and found that beyond the car itself, the single most important factor in the quality of a Taiwan trip is the driver-guide. We have invested for years in our driver-guides' professional skills and conduct, and in 2014 pioneered an "online driver selection" feature so you can see — and choose — outstanding service quality.

For us, service cannot be priced down by volume — tourism is a people-centered craft that demands careful planning, diligent execution and honest review, with everyone working together for the traveler. We have always believed that genuine quality only comes with fair reward.

Our Story

Every time you step into the car, it begins with trust; every safe arrival is a promise kept.

In 2007, five drivers who loved the work of caring for travelers came together to found UTAXI.

Back then we had no large fleet and no polished brand — only the wish to walk alongside every traveler exploring Taiwan, with service that came from the heart.

Across nearly twenty years, we have lived through the most flourishing era of travel, and weathered the heavy blow of the pandemic.

So much has changed — yet one thing never has.

We never chased becoming the biggest charter brand; we only hoped that with every pickup, travelers could hand us the next part of their journey with complete peace of mind.

That trust is the most precious thing we have gathered along the way, and the strength that keeps us moving forward. Markets will change, and the way people travel will change too.
